In July 2014, a group from Girlguiding Midlands travelled to the Czech Republic to paddle down the Vltava.

Victoria Williams said, “we were busy every day spending five days on the river- which was mainly calm but there were weirs and some fast water. Everyone had achieved their 2 Star BCU qualification before they went – so they were able to cope with the canoeing.”

After the five days of paddling, the group spent time sightseeing in Prague- including a Segway tour, a visit to the Zoo, and a look around the Sedlec Ossuary- better known as the Bone church.

More photos from the trip can be seen on the girl’s blog. The group very much appreciated the sponsorship from ‘Palm Equipment’ who provided all their safety gear.
