Brownies and leaders from Midlands Region travelled to Staffordshire to participate in a five-day camp of games, activities and adventure.
More than 150 Brownies attended Beaudesert Campsite in Staffordshire to attend Cosmic Adventure 2017, a Brownie Camp under canvas with a jam-packed programme from August 11 – 15.
Brownies were able to select their own activities throughout the entire weekend, choosing from cooking, creating and games. They were also able to take part in on-site activities including archery, crate stacking, and a greasy pole. Brownies were also challenged to win stars by playing games and spend them on treats like inflatables, candy floss and ice cream.
In the evenings, girls were entertained by discos, campfires and a night hike across the Staffordshire hills, with many girls walking with no torches on!
Eleanor, 8, a Brownie from Staffordshire, said “The night hike was really exciting because I haven’t been on one before, and it was really spooky! We raced each other on the go-karts and have made lots of new friends. In one word: amazing!”
Michelle, a Leader from Shropshire, said “The girls have had smiles from breakfast until bedtime, they’ve had a fantastic time enjoying adventurous activities that they don’t normally have the chance to do.”
