The role of County Commissioner, although challenging at times, was an amazing experience. it was fantastic to be able to attend events at all levels, meeting our volunteers, watch the girls have fun, push themselves because they felt comfortable to do so and see them gain confidence from it. I also am passionate about taking the girls on residentials as it gives you the opportunity to really get to know them and have time for activities not in unit time.
What do you enjoy outside guiding?
I have a large dolls house which has not had much done to it during my role as CC but will now get my attention. I do cross stitch, some knitting and gardening. A spend as much time as I can, given the distance between us with my 4 grandchildren, 2 boys and twin granddaughters. What is your favourite biscuit and why?
Ginger nut as it is hard, tasty and good for dunking!
