15 members of Girlguiding Midlands spent two weeks exploring Europe.

The trip began in Amsterdam, where the group had a very moving visit to Anne Frank’s house.

The first of many lengthy train trips took them overnight to Munich, where they explored, swam and met some members of British Guides in Foreign Countries for a local tour.

In Rome they stayed in a local Scout Centre and took in sights including the Vatican, coliseum and the Spanish steps. Continuing their journey through Italy they visited Herculaneum in Naples, as well as the National Archaeological Museum.

Other places visited included Liechtenstein and Trieste- where they camped in a Scout Campsite (where they were lucky enough to be cooked a giant Italian dinner).

To round off the trip, the group travelled to Croatia, where they spent time on the beach, exploring ruins and spent the last day kayaking, snorkelling and windsurfing in National Park.
